November 3, 2012

The regular meeting of the Van Wert Amateur Radio Club was called to order by the President Jack Snyder at 8:00 pm local time on November 3^rd, 2012, with 17 members present. The minutes from the October 20^th, 2012 meeting was read and approved.

The Treasurer reported a cash balance on hand. Motion to accept the report by Jerry Rhodes, 2^nd by Dan Riley. Motion passed and report filed for audit.

Treasurer reported that he had received a bill for our Silent Key Plaque from Wren Co, Wren Ohio. Cost of the new plaque is $75.00. Ralph Shields moved to pay the bill, 2^nd by Cork Poling. Motion passed.

Treasurer also reported that he received a check from Ralph Shields for the sum of $163.41. This is from the sale of club equipment on E-Bay.

COMMITTEE / OFFICERS REPORTS:

Ralph Shields gave a report on Field Day. The results will be posted on the club web site w8fy.org, or you can veirw all of the results on the ARRL web site.

Secretary advised that the new antenna for the 25/85 repeater has been installed.

Dave Taylor, Vice President informed the club that the local Civil Air Patrol would like to have some classes on obtaining their Technician license. After discussion, Jack Snyder and Dan Riley said that they would help with the classes. A motion was made by Ann Vogel to purchase 10 books and 1 instructors manual for the classes. 2^nd by Ralph Shields. Motion passed.
