The regular meeting of the Van Wert Amateur Radio Club was called to order by the President Jack Snyder at 8:00 pm local time on March 16th, 2013, with 14 voting members,  1 associate member and 2 visitors present. The minutes from the March 2, 2013 meeting was read and approved.

 

The Treasurer reported a cash balance on hand.  Motion to accept the report by Ralph Shields, 2nd by JC Ford.  Motion passed and report filed for audit.

 

COMMITTEE / OFFICERS REPORTS:

None

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

President: Reminder that the spotter class will be held this Wed at 7:00 pm at the Marsh Foundation Auditorium.

 

Ralph Shields and Dave Freels advised the club that they sold the Knight Transmitter for $58.43 on e-bay.

 

OLD BUSINESS: 

None

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Dave Freels advised that the ballast in one of the lights in the basement needs to be replaced. Motion by Ralph Shields and 2nd by Larry Swaney to purchase a new ballast. Motion passed.

 

Dave also advised that we need to purchase some rope for antenna installations. Mike Harvey made a motion to purchase 500 ft spool of UV resistance rope, 2nd by Ralph Shields. Motion passed.

 

Dave advised that the club web site was down for a while last week. The registration had expired. After contacting Bob Barnes who has the password and access to the site, the web page was restored, and renewed for two years. Dave suggested that we might want to move the web site access to the club. Ralph Shields moved to move the web site access  to the club, 2nd by Mike Harvey.
